In this life there are good times and bad, right and wrong, periods of elation and periods of depression. Yet sometimes we are fortunate to live a 'shade of grey', somewhere in between.

ROSA FLORENCE 4 WEEKS OLD
Well doesn't time fly when you are a baby? 4 weeks old already.
Rosa has had initial feeding problems but that is ok now ~ in fact now she has a voracious appetite but suffers from colic sometimes. That problem seems to be managed well with drops.
The main difficulty now is that she doesn't want to settle and wants to be cuddled all the time and poor mummy and daddy are very tired. With her dad returning to work today after paternity leave I called in to see Selina and Rosa this afternoon. Her Nanna Sue had already arrived and had taken Rosa for a walk in her pram. Baby and Nanna arrived home a while later and Rose was fast asleep and by then so was Selina ~ so while Nanna did some ironing I kept rocking the pram gently and she slept like a top for a couple more hours, as by then we took it in turns to rock the pram.
She looks quite content here doesn't she?
Let's take a closer look to make sure she's ok . . .
That's my girl. . . . bless her little cotton socks . . . :)
On Wednesday afternoon I am taking her out for a walk in her pram to give her mum a rest. Anyone care to join me?

She is so pretty.....and being cuddled and rocked is only one of the many advantages of being a baby.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every second of it, Sweet Rosa!
Good advice Jackie . . . . absolutely right . . . precious moments . . :)
DeletePS Love the term "pram"....
DeleteWe don't use that term here, and I love to hear it spoken or see it written.
Hi Jackie :)
DeleteIt's an old Brit word, much older than Grandpa . . lol, short for "perambulator" which we abbreviate to "pram".
Pop over and I'll speak it to you in my Brit accent . . lol
I think younger people don't use the word as much, preferring "buggy" . . .:)
We use the word "stroller"...
DeleteEnjoy your time with your beautiful Grands!!
Yes heard that word stroller very recently by my very good friend, Betsy . . :)
DeleteA stroller is very different from a pram. A stroller is what used to be called a pushchair in Britain, I still call it that, I have one in my garage!
DeleteYes I forgot the word push chair . . . and thanks for the explanation of stroller . . . :)
DeleteHi Eddie....
ReplyDeleteHas Selina tried a soother? They work wonders!
Rosa looks very much like her Mom, I think!
Perhaps too much pram jiggling, will make her less likely to settle....just sayin'....
Swaddling works well for fussy settlers too....
Ok...no charge for all the free unsolicited advice...
What time do I need to be there for the walk?
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Thanks for the advise Linda ~ I shall pass it on . . .
DeleteMeeting at 2,30 on Wednesday . . . :) cheers , Eddie :o)
come on . . . . chop chop . . . lol
DeleteAw..such sweet pictures. She looks very content!
ReplyDeleteThanks Betsy . . . yes she does doesn't she? Are you coming for a walk with us on Wednesday? . . . :)
DeleteI would gladly join you! What wonderful grandparents she has....showing up to rock the pram. Blessed, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice . . .:)
DeleteThe very best of course . . . lol
She is adorable and looks quite content in her pram. You need to get an automatic cradle that gently rocks the cradle for 15 minutes after cranking it up. I had one of those when my children were babies and they loved it and so did I. And if I didn't live way over here across the pond, I would love to join you for a walk as well. lol
ReplyDeleteShe has certainly captivated our hearts . . we were laughing yesterday how we all just sit there mesmerised by her and then laughing that this little thing has so much power over us . . . lol
DeleteI think you would too . . . :)
Bless you both, Eddie!

ReplyDeleteJane x
LOL . . .ok . . .but I am sure we all speak the same language . . . :) x
DeleteGosh the neighbours will be confused with Eddie walking down the street pushing a pram with all these beautiful ladies in attendance . . . lol
You are quiet on your blog . . . must pop over to see how the reno is going . . . Eddie x
She looks adorable. And how lovely she has two grandparents who are smitten with her.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there for the walk... grabbing my passport now!
Thank you Suzie . . . . I am seeing her tomorrow and hope the weather holds dry so I/we can take her for a walk . . . lol
DeleteYes we were saying that this little baby seems to have smitten us . . . lol . . . what a big softy I am aren't I? . . :)
Oh I'd join you. I keep telling Angie that I too want to be cuddled all the time, but she just gives me, you know, that look. I sometimes wish I were a baby too, Eddie.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sure she would cuddle you all the time . . :)
DeleteThat would be great, Eddie. Children are better people than most grownups on this planet, wouldn't you say?
DeleteGenerally . . . I would agree . . you and me excepted of course . . lol
DeleteI've missed it! Haven't I? Still, I saw little Peter yesterday, didn't I?
ReplyDeleteRosa is so gorgeous I could eat her up!
