The Wednesday Muse # 4
Many aplogies, Toni, for my late arrival.
So pleased I have my internet back.
As the saying goes,
"Better late than never!"
This week Toni has set us a dancing picture prompt and asked us to write a short poem of exactly 44 words.
This format is called a quadrille
Let's Dance
Our music is playing
Come, let us dance.
It goes without saying,
You look right for romance.
Your eyes say it for you,
There's no need for a word.
I can feel tensions building,
That sighing, I heard.
There's lots I should tell you.
(44 words)
But I've run out of words!!! . . lol

DeleteI was completely lost without it!
The eyes and sighs can say so much! A lovely Quadrille Eddie! Glad your internet is back!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie.
DeleteCouldn't you run out and get more words? I hear they come in herds.
ReplyDeletelol ... more words are not allowed
DeleteOnly 44 in a Quadrille, so he just bowed.
So he didn't say another word
And used sign language, how absurd,
She really liked him so uit didn't matter
So it was not necessary for him to natter . . . . . lol
Nice to see you here Pat, the cat . . :)
How fun. And I love the painting, too. :)
ReplyDeleteListen, they are playing our tune . . . :)
