The Sunday Muse #87
Thank you Carrie for this challenging prompt.
Let's see if I can do it justice.
Hold on my feathered friend
For I will take you to a winter wonderland.
Nest close within my bushy mane
Whilst we soar beneath those twinkling stars
On eagles wings, spread in power and might.
Hold on my friend to your fiery steed,
For I am your friend the unicorn
Of fable since the dawn of time.
I come to worthy creatures and bless those who see me.
I sprinkle snow crystals on those I love
And take us to a promised land of milk and honey
And worms for you, my dear, in plenty.
For I will take you to a winter wonderland.
Nest close within my bushy mane
Whilst we soar beneath those twinkling stars
On eagles wings, spread in power and might.
Hold on my friend to your fiery steed,
For I am your friend the unicorn
Of fable since the dawn of time.

Nice one Eddy. I love white horses, they're so dreamy...
ReplyDeleteHow have you been?
Thank you Az and so lovely to see you here.
DeleteI am ok thanks but hate this depressing weather and long to be outside in the warmth and sun again. I semi hibernate in winter and long to fire on more than one cylinder and get out of first gear.
Hope you are ok, I am coming to see you so put on the kettle.
God Bless You Dear Eddie <3
ReplyDeleteThank you my good friend, Cloudia and may God bless you too.
DeleteSweet! Love the idea of a unicorn spreading blessings through the forest.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrissa. I was struggling for a while with this one. I found it quite challenging.
DeleteTo Sara if you come. I tried to comment on your post but alas was not able.
ReplyDeleteYou have brilliantly captured the magic of the photo Eddie! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie. Had to think about this one for a while and then the idea gelled in my subconscious. It often works like that. Great prompt.
DeleteOh this is beautiful! I love that the unicorn comes to worthy creatures, and that she finds the small bird worthy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry. Nice name for this time of year especially. Cheers! Good health and Happy Christmas.
DeleteThis was true magic. Well done, Eddie.
ReplyDeleteQuite by accident I 'bumped into' an old friend from the past. T'was Jackie. Ah, such memories!
Thanks Val.
DeleteYes I see Jackie quite often on Facebook. She is know also as Evelyn and yes, great memories.
You brought us a delightful fantasy ! Good write.
ReplyDeleteThank You, Bev.
