I will read it to my children as well. I laughed out loud, quite literally, and I don't do that often; only with the best of authors and masters of humor. And then there were the tears.

I just LOVE Mickey. What a special treat you had getting to have him in your life. One summer I saw a blue budgie loose in our garden flying around with the small birds like sparrows and apparently getting along OK. It can hold its own against them but sooner or later it would require millett or similar bird seed. Not sure how long it could survive. Shame your didn't come back to you. He would never come out of his cage, not for anything or anyone, until one day... you guessed it, I left the cage open and left the room and forgot the patio door was open too. He sailed off into the sky. I spent many an hour calling him to no avail. Sad sad ending, I guess the wild birds got him.
Love GrannyMarian Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06765534146844251398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4603897690317712031.post-9742465208733607112009-03-18T04:56:00.000+00:002009-03-18T04:56:00.000+00:00That was a great recount of your pet!
