I took this shot a couple of years ago during a visit to Brean Down near Weston Super Mare
I just loved the shimmering light of the waves
Nearby I caught a dragonfly basking in the sun
. . . . and a little inland a Damselfly hiding amongst the camouflage
. . . . and when we got home a butterfly greeted us.
Hopefully my next post will be a recent memorable trip to Bristol Zoo.
Fine detailed closeups, these.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dick :)
DeleteLooks as though you found some great wildlife without needing to go to the zoo Eddie!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was lucky that day in Weston.. Thanks Amy :)

ReplyDeleteNothing like the water to soothe your soul, eh?
Hope you had a nice day!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Nothing like the water to soothe your soul, eh? - now that is very romantic and poetic. I thought your were not into poetry - bet you could write a beauty sitting it front of that sea all afternoon with its shimmering and dancing kaleidoscope as it shatters into a billion pieces to the echo of everlasting waves to stir our very souls. There - I always knew you could do it . . . . lol
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the view . . . . cheers :o)
That is NOT what I said.....
DeleteAnd...I really don't understand poetry....there....I said it!
Ps...you need to delete that big long spam....I had the same one over here....Geeesh!
DeleteYes, thanks and I'll delete that long spam - I've seen it several times including your place.
DeleteOnly teasing about the poetry. :)

All pictures are wonderful. But the silvery sea has a quality, that seems to be made of dreams. I had to think of one of my favourite poems. "It was many and many a year ago. In my kingdom by the sea..." E.A.Poe, Annabel Lee. I always loved Poe...
ReplyDeleteHi Christel
DeleteYes a very apt poem for that 'fluke' photo I took . . . :)
