LET THE ROLL OF HONOUR
COMMENCE
COMMENCE
"Let the drums sound loud and the bugles play
for those shown here as Roasts of the Day"
Here I am, Eddie Bluelights as a school cadet and about to start a long drum roll.
Then . . . By the centre - quick march!
THE SUNDAY ROAST
As part of my job of stewarding this feature I thought it a good idea to list all previous 'victims' of this excellent column
The Sunday Roast was introduced by David McMahon of Authorblog on 3 February 2008
********************
It is my pleasure to take on this project which I accept humbly, gratefully and with honour. Thank you David for the great privilage of continuing your column, commencing on 11 October.
So here is the complete record of all previous Roasts along with hyperlinks for easy access.
It makes very interesting reading and please feel free to add comment to roasts as and when you feel fit. Go on - tuck in and enjoy yourselves!!

Wow!!!! What a lot of work this was, Eddie!!! Whew!! You are amazing!!! All these links??!!!?? When did you find time to sleep during the past week? You are phenomenal!!! Bravo! Hugs, Janine
ReplyDeletenice. thanks for putting this together eddie!
ReplyDelete(Eddie, I'm honoured that you would ask me but I'm in a bit of a volatile transition right now and will bow out for the time being. Hope you understand...know you will.)

WOW! That was some work you did here!! Now to take advantage of some new reads. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteEddie, that was great work! Look forward to knowing more and more of my fellow bloggers :)
ReplyDeletePhenomenal!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of effort went into that!
Everyone will be so grateful to you for that and I wonder if the list can be fitted into your sidebar somehow for us to look up when we want to at any time? Or maybe you can link this page somehow on your side bar?
I also wonder where the missing ones went. Did the owners claim them back!
Loved the photo of you when you were young. You've hardly changed!
I think you deserve a medal for all that work! Thank you!
Heres a drum roll for you! TRRRRRMM.....Did you hear it!
Well done Eddie...brilliant job!
ReplyDeleteEddie...you have put a lot of time and work into this...organizing R U! Great job!! You take care of YOU, now....ya hear!
ReplyDeleteSmiles from Jackie
Brilliant Start! So much effort to get things up and going, and showing all the past Sunday Roasts.
ReplyDeleteSuper well done. Hope you get to eat a wonderful Sunday Roast your dear self,
Mickle and Zebbycat, of to snoozle land right now.
wow! I don't know where to start...these are all great reads!!! you're pressuring me with this post! haha ^^
ReplyDeletekisses!
sassy.
Thanks for putting together this list and continuing the Sunday Roast. I've had fun perusing the previous "victims."
ReplyDeleteWow, Eddie, I agree with Janine. What a lot of work this post must have been!!! So good of you to provide all of those links, for us. Incredible! Merci, cher, it is greatly appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteEddie - the second interview is with Ornery's Wife who writes the blog Thoughts From Miller Manor The interview (roasting) at david's is here.
ReplyDeleteNumber 11 is with imac at photos from the mind's eye which is still going strong and a fantastic blog. The roasting at David's can be found here.
I'm looking for the other two for you now...
Okay, looking at it chronologically, it seems number 24 may not exist. It looks like it went from 23 to 25 and David just miscounted, but I will check that.
ReplyDeleteNumber 26 is with Lynn Eade at "Cheltenham Daily Photo". The link to the blog no longer exists (this may not mean the blog does not exist, just the link from David's does not work any longer but certainly did at the time of the interview, I know that for certain). David's interview or roasting is here.
If I find a number 24, I'll let you know. Hope this helped. It certainly kept me out of trouble for a while! lol
Eddie - I have triple checked by going through every July post - there is no number 24. You have them all now. :0)
ReplyDeleteA great start here Eddie! I'm impressed with the work that you put into this. I almost feel like I've been on the hot seat once again! Whew!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to next Sunday!
You are giving little Cherry a run for her money, Mr Eddie. I thought I was the princess of control c's and v's ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed. It is wonderful of you to do this! So many bloggers have been very supportive of this Sunday Roast. David will be proud! So are we!
Just came back to say, how much I am enjoying all this and to thank you again for all the hard work involved, and well done Thumbellina for the missing links!
ReplyDeleteWow, I had no idea there were so many. Great idea to list them.
ReplyDeleteI love your picture.
Thanks for posting all of those links, Eddie. Nice lot of work that was.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. How appropriate that I am posting a comment here under Suldog's because as I went down that list, I didn't see his name/blog listed there and I could have sworn that he was "roasted" too. Perhaps I am wrong about that though. At any rate, if he wasn't given that honor, I'd like to nominate him for being next in line or shortly, to have that done for/with him.
ReplyDeleteAlso -just wondering if you would or could post the list of honorees on your sidebar or in a blogroll of some type that would be available for new readers to peruse easily? (And for those of us who have been around a while to read and review too, perhaps.)
Thanks again for offering to keep this tradition David began alive! A lot of work, I'm sure, but also, well worth it and rewarding to all of us in the end.
Okay - just to clarify something -I don't wear glasses for nothing, ya know! It is because I am virtually blind as a bat and that is evidenced now as I just saw Suldog's name on the list -very appropriately at slot #69! LOL
ReplyDeleteRemind me to check things not just twice but at least three times before opening mouth and inserting foot!
Very cool!! Thanks for all of the links!! You are awesome, Eddie!!
ReplyDeleteI hate to be repetitive but WOW! Thanks Eddie, for putting this together. Since I'm also fairly new to blogging, I had not taken the time to "go back" thru David's previous Roasts; you've made it easier to do this!
ReplyDeleteJane
Amazing work Eddie, we owe you.
ReplyDeleteA load of work indeed! I'm humbled to soon become a part of this distinguished list. *Salute*
ReplyDeleteBrilliant - a list - it's going to take me a while to work my way through it but it's going to be such a good read :)
ReplyDeleteRe your picture of the Andromeda Galaxy. Sure someone made it . . . but it wasn't me.
ReplyDeleteAmazing list, Eddie. This is quite a project.
