Well, it's time for another Magpie Tale
Prompt supplied by Tess for MAG231
Elizabeth Taylor, Set "Of Giant", by Frank Worth
I've been thinking and thinking but all I can come up with this idea. Of course if I can think of a more sensible one I shall have another go by expending significantly more brain power next time to the prompt. With apologies to Elizabeth Taylor who I am sure would have seen the funny side of things.
Here is Elizabeth casting her magic lasso; the definition of the verb being to single out, throw around, pull, tighten and rope up real good.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch me a husband with each throw.
If he squeals I'll let him go.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe!
Well, that's another one gone for a Burton, or is it a Burton again, or a Hilton, or a Wilding, or a Todd, or a Fisher, or a Warner or a Fortensky . . . .
(Great shame Mike Todd died in a plane crash . . . she really loved him)
